How Important is Tire Rotation?

How Important is Tire RotationIn the most “perfect” of circumstances, such as a brand new vehicle with brand new tires, tires will still wear unevenly. Tires can wear unevenly individually, as well as the front and rear tires can also wear differently. When you rotate your tires an regular intervals, it allows the tires to wear in different locations on the vehicle and therefore, even out the wear over time.

Cleaning Bugs Off the Car

Cleaning Bugs Off the Car

Another really wonderful things about tires is that you don’t have to clean bugs off them, but you do have to clean bugs off the car.

If you’ve driven anywhere recently, especially at night, you may have noticed an alarming number of bugs splattering your car and windshield. The next morning when you take a look, the remnants of the previous night driving look as bad (if not worse) than parking under a sap-filled tree for a day. Your car is covered with dried on bugs that are surprisingly difficult to remove. A normal car wash doesn’t seem to touch them, and even a higher priced car wash with a purported bug treatment doesn’t always do the trick. So, what can you do?

What can you do to clean the bugs off your car?

  • Try to remove the bugs as soon as possible, rather than wait too long.
  • Soak the area and let it sit. Just like starchy food dried on dirty dishes, bugs need a little time to soak.
  • Try a product designed specially for removing bugs such as Bug and Tar Remover by Chemical Guys, or Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover available at many retailers, and many others. (We don’t endorse any specific product). Ask at your local hardware or auto supply store for a bug remover.
  • Plan to use plenty of elbow grease and water to rinse. Many people claim sponges or dryer sheets work well to remove bugs.

If you have found a solution that works well for you, please share it on our Facebook page. We’d love to hear from you.
