Why is there a bulge on the side of my tire?

Why is there a bulge on the side of my tire?

Is a tire bulge serious?

Does the tire need to be replaced immediately or can it wait?

A Tire bulge is not normal and indicates internal damage to your tire that needs to be addressed immediately. Unlike a flat tire that can sometimes be repaired, a tire with a bulge must be replaced. Bulges often occur when you drive over pot holes, or uneven pavement or curbs at odd angles.

Luckily, our team at the TireZoo is adept at helping replace one or more tires at a time, matching the existing tires with quality used ones so that you can save money. We can review all your options, but don’t wait. A bulge in your tire is serious and indicates only a matter of time before you’ll have major, possibly dangerous, problems. You don’t want to be in the heart of Minneapolis on 35W north or on a remote country road in the heat of summer when your tire blows; especially when you could have prevented it by being aware of bulges!

This video explains what to look for on your tires:

Replace Tires on AWD Vehicle

What do you do when you need to replace tires on AWD vehicle?

Can you buy just one tire or do you have to replace all four tires at the same time?

Are four wheel, front wheel, and AWD vehicles the same as far as tires go?

These are frequent questions we answer for customers, and they bring up some really good points. Many people assume a tire is a tire. However, there are very careful considerations you need to make based on the vehicle you have and the tire(s) that need replacing. Vehicles with all time 4 wheel drive are different than select 4 wheel drive (4×2). Additionally, vehicles that have 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive options are different too.

If you have All Wheel Drive (AWD) or all time 4 wheel drive (4×4), it important to make sure not only that all four tires match Brand-wise, but that they also match tread depth-wise. The TireZoo is very experienced with helping people replace only 1, 2, or 3 tires at a time. We have a very large inventory of new and used tires that we can almost always find replacement tires that match your remaining tires’ brand and tread.

Minneapolis, MN Food Challenge

Did you see  “Man vs Food” featured a little while back in Minneapolis, with guest appearance by Minnesota’s own Andrew Zimmern? It’s always great to see celebrities and television coverage in our own great state, but it always seems to come around to Lutefisk at some point, doesn’t it? Minneapolis and the surrounding metro area has a host of fabulous cuisine and eating establishments, and of course, our guests are treated to gelatinous fish. Are you a fan of Lutefisk? Where’s your favorite place to eat that you think really represents Minnesota’s finest foods? One of my favorite restaurants is Thanh Do in St. Louis Park, MN.

Without further ado, here’s the clip. The best line has got to be about the fish tasting like “frozen Vaseline”. You be the judge:

Name That Song Travel Game

name that song travel gameChances are your vehicle has a radio. If you have a long car ride scheduled this summer, you can entertain everybody in the car with this simple game. Simply turn the radio on and tune into a channel. The passenger is in charge of hitting the power button to turn the music on and off. Take turns listening for only a few short seconds to guess the song. You can assign points for naming the song quickly, and deduct points if the radio has to be turned on for a second listen.

This game can be adapted for young children using a music CD/Google/Apple Playlist of which they are familiar. Instead of naming the song, the kids can sing the words they know once they recognize it.
